About EMRC
Ethnic Minority Resource Centre is a social enterprise which is registered as a private limited company by guarantee. Our main objective is to provide a range of management consultancy services to entrepreneurs and organisations, we aim to inspire and practically support young and female entrepreneurs, so that they can have a well guided start in their business venture. We also help and practically support all community organisations from ethnic minorities with accountancy and consultancy services.

Research and development
Project Management
Using current research findings to fully or partly design and implement community-based projects.
Accountancy supports
Offer community organizations with accounting, book-keeping and tax support to meet their legal and regulatory requirements.
Auditing and examination of accounts
This support aims to meet charities’ statutory and legal requirements required by both OSCR and Charity Commission.
Taxation supports
This includes all registrations to HMRC, preparation of Gift Aid Claims, VAT Returns for charitable companies and dealing with all tax queries.
Business advisory supports
We provide classic strategic analysis and cascade the findings to operational level to help with practical implementation of our recommendations.
Community capacity building
We organise and conduct seminars and workshops to enrich community-based organisations with better understanding of Good Corporate Governance.
Internship
We provide college and university students with opportunities to start their professional carriers; we train and place them into different businesses and organisations in our communities.
Entrepreneurship
We organise and run business awareness workshops and seminars with aim to inspire and instil entrepreneurial spirit, encouraging women and young people from ethnic minority communities to get into business. Thereafter, we sustain them with practical supports, such as business registrations to companies’ house and HMRC, preparing business plans, financial forecasts and financial reports.

We provide tailored managerial support and services to community organizations in the UK. The support is available to small and large charitable organizations. Our focus is to inspire and encourage young people to volunteer but before that they must undergo informal training in charity accounting to improve their efficiency and ability to be effective, also to strengthen good corporate governance in the community organisations, we encourage highly qualified and experienced professional individuals to use their spare time in voluntary work.
Our Philosophy
EMRC believes that we have a mutual financial stewardship of our community organisations, for our people to have full access and enjoy the value created and delivered with our own organisations, this is only achievable under appropriate governance environments.
Consequently, we are all responsible for a proper, ethical and sustainable use of the scarce resources in our disposal.
